Yay good thing it's atleast something you're loooking for... Now, I don't have too much time during this week to proceed with it, but planning shouldn't be a problem. I was wondering about the other parts of the map - now I am making a dungeon, but what will there be above the dungeons? Is there a small castle/outpost thing ... What's the purpose of the place the dungeon is at.. and this kind of stuff. What kind of enviroment should there be.. Even the smallest ideas will propably help a lot!

Also I will most likely use dynamic light if I know how to get them working (if it's possible in ZDoom  )... It's just so much easier and they can easily be altered with ACS too (In the old communityproject (the space station map thing) I made some windows that opened and closed from a button, making dynamic light objects move towards the room when the windows opened making light "grow" inside the room ... XD Best explanations ever.

Anyways I like where this is going and I hope I'll get my Heretic mapping motivations online again. Heretic always was my favorite of the three games (well, HeXen was almost the top one but I didn't like the lack of weapons) (<-- this is why I started HeXetic in the first place)

Also I really think dynamic lights would look quite nice... they flicker!! :3:
I just think I won't be using too much light though.. that one is just a test.
PS. I had to use GZDoom for this..

Vilde that's looking good! :)

I'm gonna be behind for a bit because I haven't bought the games yet, and right now I need my money for real life things. I'll get the games really soon and get to helping out a lot more. I'll do mapping and textures and anything else I know I can help with. :yup:

BTW have you guys played Heretic 2 and Hexen2? Just wondering

To start with, Happy Birthday.
The map looks very good so far and I cannot wait to try it.
Now, lets say, after Corvus escapes the dungeons, he finds himself in a castle where he battles his way out. In an intermediate level (lets say E2M5 (episode 1 is tutorial)), he travels from the tower in an open area with mountains, swamp, etc and enters a citadel in which he battles his way to the top where he encounters the boss.

Can someone teach me how to write a modeldef for GZDoom? Vilde?

Now that we can export our maps as 3d models, we can add a ton of world detail as 3d models then put them back in DoomBuilder for the ports.
