Is there a limit to how many sectors the source ports can handle before crashing?

Or is it entirely up to the power of an individual's computer?

I'm asking because I've decided to try making a "fake bump maps" demo, where I make the textures appear to be in 3d. In reality, it will use tons and tons of sectors :|

It's just a test for fun, though, I KNOW it's not a good way to do it :P

I already have another way in mind, and it will look amazing :D

Just want to help classic Doom get more "3d" ;)

NEVER MIND

I can't use sectors because it'd take a lifetime, and I can't use voxels because they don't even look 3d until you get up close.
