Hey there Doom Universe peeps, here's the thing.
I am making Plutonia's first level in Doom3 for fun, because I want to try making a jungle-like environment.
The problem is, Plutonia has water. There are ONLY 2 ways I can make water, and both don't look complete, I have to choose method.
Method1 lets you see the ground, and warps the ground texture like water does:
Method2 has no ground, so it kinda can look like you're just standing on a huge wet mirror. This method, however, shows reflection, like water is supposed to:
NO, there is no way I know of to make water both transparent and see through, as this is no effect, it is three effects that make the water "effect."
I was thinking maybe I should use Method1 for shallow areas, and Method2 for really deep areas where the player would sink so you wouldn't need to see the ground.
