In two episodes. I think there's only games in three or more episodes. Shadow Warrior is only game that have two episodes. Boss of Episode 1 will be Afrit. Of episode 2 boss will be Avatar [similar to Heresiarch]

10 levels, I see.
Well a game can have as many episodes as you want, so there's no problem.

As far as level design, I would also suggest grabbing pieces of maps in games like Doom/Heretic/Hexen, and then putting together something of your own, then editing the geometry, and in the end you'll get something fresh.

Also, by grabbing geometry from Heretic/Hexen, your maps will have that same feeling as those games.

Again, if you're trying to make something along the Hexen,Heretic type, you can always do a playthrough to get inspiration
