Since the forum activity is going slow, I've brainstormed this idea. :grin:
Do you own unreleased (and, why not, unreleasable :mrgreen: ) maps? Let's make a community wad with those maps! :D

Well. Just remember a few things:
  • All maps are allowed. We don't care about gameplay, design, theme, etc. It's been named Total Randomness for this reason. :mrgreen: Just be sure they're for Doom 2. Map slots will arrive soon.
  • All maps may be played from pistol start (there must be no connection among them)
  • Vanilla or Boom/Zdoom compatible. Please don't submit maps for unpopular ports.

If it's Zdoom compatible, chances are its Skulltag compatible. The problem is that the reverse isn't necessarily true.

Wrong. ZDoom is way, way ahead of Skulltag.
So if something is Skulltag compatible, it is ZDoom compatible, except for a few select flags. (Eg. +CLIENTSIDEONLY)

Skulltag doesn't have a shitload of functions and flags that ZDoom has, however. And not something abstract (Eg. Above), but something simple like +THRUSPECIES

Skulltag is almost a multiplayer-only port, so no one will use it to play a single player wad.

Well, I don't own maps but I absolutely support the idea for a fun wad of random maps, it will keep itself from being dull. I hope everyone who can map donates a map or two :)
